Overview
Wovell is a vision board application that respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.
By using Wovell, you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and create a user profile. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
Your content: Photos you upload to vision boards are stored in Firebase Storage, associated with your account. Board layouts, text elements, and settings are stored in Firestore.
Payment information: When you purchase a board export or Pro subscription, payment is processed by Stripe. Wovell does not store your card number or payment details — only a Stripe customer reference.
Usage data: We collect basic analytics to understand how the app is used. This data is anonymized and not linked to identifiable individuals.
How we use your data
To provide the service: Your photos, boards, and settings exist so you can create and access your vision boards across sessions and devices.
To process payments: Your Stripe customer ID is used to manage purchases, apply export credits, and manage subscriptions.
To improve Wovell: Anonymized usage data helps us understand which features work well. We never analyze your photos or board content for this purpose.
To communicate with you: We may send transactional emails (payment confirmations, account alerts). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
Your photos & boards
Your uploaded photos and board content are private by default. Only you can see them when logged in. We do not use your photos to train AI models. We do not share your content with third parties.
If you delete a board, its photos are removed from our storage. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Third-party services
Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Storage. Your data is stored in Google's cloud infrastructure under their security standards.
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. We only store a reference to your Stripe customer ID.
OpenAI: AI coaching features send your goal text to OpenAI's API to generate responses. We do not send identifying information alongside these requests.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all associated data within 30 days.
Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.
Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
